About Tracey

Welcome to my site!

When I think about it, I have always loved tiny things. When I was a child, I marvelled at faberge eggs, nesting dolls, and miniature scenes tucked inside small boxes. Yet, it wasn’t until my early 40’s before I realized this as an adult. Quite by happy accident. When I had my 3 youngest children, I began making miniature foods to entertain them. Later, this branched into a serious concentration on making dollhouse foods and accessories in 1:12 scale.

My focus has been on making realistic food sculpts from polymer clay.  I also dabble in character dolls made from the same medium.

The world of miniatures is fantastical and extremely gratifying.  I would never have guessed years ago that this would turn into such a passion for me!

I would love fellow enthusiasts and artisans to follow my work here on my blog. You can also find me on Facebook under ‘Blossom Friends”, and on Etsy at BlossomFriendsStudio. I welcome your thoughts and would love to see some of your work or collection of little treasures!

Are you a kindred spirit who also marvels at the tiniest of things?

“Look at the bark of a redwood, and you see moss. If you peer beneath the bits and pieces of the moss, you’ll see toads, small insects, a whole host of life that prospers in that miniature environment. A lumberman will look at a forest and see so many board feet of lumber. I see a living city.”
