Welcome to my site! Owning a traditional dollhouse did not interest me when I was a little girl. It was never listed in my letters to Santa. The closest I came to one was a cherished Barbie camper. However, I did grow up with a love of crafting, art, and all things whimsical. It wasn’t until I had my 3 youngest children that I began making miniature foods to entertain them. Youtube tutorials really are a wonderful resource! Later, this branched into a more serious concentration on making dollhouse scale foods and accessories. Yes, making miniatures can be quite serious! …there is a lot of planning, design, and trial and error involved. But it is also fantastical, extremely fun and gratifying. I would never have guessed years ago that this would turn into such a passion for me!

I would love fellow enthusiasts and artisans to follow my work here on my blog. You can also find me on Facebook under ‘Blossom Friends”, and on Etsy at BlossomFriendsDesign. I welcome your thoughts and constructive criticism — and also to see some of your work or collection of little treasures!

Are you a kindred spirit who also marvels at the tiniest of things?

“Look at the bark of a redwood, and you see moss. If you peer beneath the bits and pieces of the moss, you’ll see toads, small insects, a whole host of life that prospers in that miniature environment. A lumberman will look at a forest and see so many board feet of lumber. I see a living city.”
