Making apple pies in my mini kitchen!

Hello and welcome to my site. My name is Tracey Rozee-Sirrat and I sell my handmade miniatures under Blossom Friends Studio.

When I think about it, I have always loved tiny things. But it took a loss and big transition before I realized just how much.

A few years ago, we had just sold our home and moved across province. Within that first month in our new home, I lost my father. I needed to find something creative to do with my children, as there was a large void when their grandfather passed away. I started making them doll foods and foodie jewelry. This soon led to a concentration on making dollhouse foods and accessories in 1:12 scale.

My focus ever since, has been on making realistic food sculpts from polymer clay. Especially sweets. I often love to cook in real life, so food has stuck. My husband comes from a rich foodie culture, which I have absorbed. Food is a celebration of family and life, and kitchens really are the heart of the home. I believe every dollhouse needs some lovely food in it.

I would love fellow enthusiasts and artisans to follow my work on my blog. You can also find me on Etsy at BlossomFriendsStudio. I welcome your thoughts and would love to see some of your work or collection of little treasures!

Are you a kindred spirit who also marvels at the tiniest of things?

“Look at the bark of a redwood, and you see moss. If you peer beneath the bits and pieces of the moss, you’ll see toads, small insects, a whole host of life that prospers in that miniature environment. A lumberman will look at a forest and see so many board feet of lumber. I see a living city.”
